The Visian ICL
The Visian ICL, also known as the implantable collamer lense, is a safe and high-tech type of refractive procedure to help correct nearsightedness (myopia). Different from traditional corrective laser eye surgery, the Visian ICL will not reshape or change the cornea of patients’ eyes. With better post-visual quality, the Visian ICL seems to be a new trend.

Candidates for the Visian ICL
  • at the age of 18 to 40
  • with a stable vision for at least 1 year
  • myopia between -2.5 and -20.0, and astigmatism under 5.0;
  • without a history of eye disease such as iritis, glaucoma, or diabetic retinopathy
  • a enough anterior chamber depth; enough endothelial cell density
  • with rational expectation for postoperative result
The Visian ICL is a simple 15-minute outpatient procedure and most people are able to resume daily activities in just a few short days with better vision.

The Visian ICL is precise and predictable for the correction or treatment of myopia, providing excellent quality of vision. A 3-year follow-up research by the FDA revealed that over 99 percent of patients were satisfied with their implant.
Six Advantages
No corneal tissue is removed or reshaped in any way during the procedure.
The Visian ICL has distinct advantages over laser surgeries and has a lower chance of resulting in complications compared to LASIK.
Although the Visian ICL is intended to remain in place permanently, if necessary it can be removed with no structural change to the cornea.
Many vision correction procedures promise an improved level of vision, but few vision correction alternatives can offer the quality and features found with the Visian ICL. Of all forms of vision correction surgery, the ICL will give you the most natural vision that you can expect.
Detailed exams and preparation will be done before operation. The Visian ICL has been approved in Europe since 1997 and every surgery will be conducted by certified, specialized surgeons.
The Visian ICL is made of Collamer, a highly biocompatible advanced lens material which contains an ultraviolet blocker that protects the eye by blocking out harmful UV rays.
The Visian ICL is positioned behind the iris (the colored part of the eye), where it is invisible to both you and observers. And you even can’t feel its existence. The collamer base of the lens material is 100% biocompatible, meaning it is designed to function in harmony with your body’s chemistry.
